Provide Educational Opportunities

and Scholarships to Impoverished Children

According to a recent UNESCO report, if all students in low-income countries had just basic reading skills (nothing else), an estimated 171 million people could escape extreme poverty. If all adults completed secondary education, we could cut the global poverty rate by more than half.

The Sakina Charity Fund is dedicated to empowering impoverished children in Pakistan through education. We provide scholarships to those in need and financial support to orphanages and charity educational institutions, such as the Sitara School in Islamabad.

Our collaboration with schools like Hamdard Foundation Public Schools, Dreamy Islamic Academy, and Baqiatullah Orphanage has helped us make a difference in the lives of many children. Additionally, we offer a program for special needs children with mental and/or physical disabilities, collaborating with local charities to provide free resources for counselling, rehabilitation, and educational services.

HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING:

Education is often referred to as the great equalizer. The Sakina Charity fund believes that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and break the cycle of poverty. Sadly, millions of underprivileged children in Pakistan face significant barriers to obtaining a higher education.

Approximately, 22.8 million children aged 5 to 16 are out-of-school, with many unable to attend due to financial constraints. Sakina Charity Fund hopes to disrupt this cycle by providing scholarships for university and post-graduate education.

Some of our scholarship recipients are nursing school students,IT and computer majors. We cover all tuition and fees for these motivated and deserving students.

EDUCATION SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES:

The Sakina Charity believes it is society's responsibility to address the educational, social and life skills needed by children with special needs and disabilities. They are one of the most vulnerable, abused, neglected, and least valued members of a community.

SCF provided direct funding to local non-profits like Step and Cure Orphanage and Rehabiliation Center, who support and cater to the needs of these special children and adults.
