MEDICAL SERVICES:
Provide Medical and Surgical Treatment to Impoverished Children from Developing Countries
In Pakistan, impoverished children and adults face significant healthcare challenges. According to UNICEF Approximately 150,000 children die every year in Pakistan of treatable diseases and health conditions.
Our mission is to extend a helping hand to the most vulnerable in Pakistan. We focus on providing essential medical and surgical support to impoverished children and adults.
Through strategic partnerships with local charities, clinics, and hospitals in Islamabad and Lahore, we’ve made a tangible impact:
-
Lives Saved: Our efforts have directly contributed to saving lives.
-
Quality of Life Improved: We’ve enhanced the quality of life for countless individuals struggling with poverty and health challenges.
Additionally, our commitment extends to cancer patients:
-
Direct Funding: We provide financial assistance to those undergoing cancer treatment.
-
Pharmaceutical Collaborations: By working closely with pharmaceutical companies, we ensure access to free or reduced-cost cancer medications.
Together, we’re making a difference, one life at a time. 🌟

The Sakina Charity Fund has generously provided a fully functional ambulance to the Step and Cure Orphanage and Residential Facility for Disabled Children and adults.
The absence of dedicated ambulances significantly impacts the overall health outcomes of disabled patients. During long waits for transportation, their conditions may deteriorate. Emergency situations, such as seizures, respiratory distress, or accidents, require immediate attention.
Without a proper ambulance, lives are at risk. Specialized ambulances are not a luxury; they are a lifesaving necessity for rehabilitation centers serving mentally and physically disabled children and adults in Pakistan.
We take pride in our donors’ recognition of this need and their swift action in donating an ambulance to this remarkable facility! 🚑❤️

Current Project in progress:
Surgical Hospital and Hospice Care Facility for Disabled Individuals
In Pakistan, individuals with disabilities encounter significant challenges within hospital environments. These facilities often lack the necessary infrastructure to accommodate disabled patients, including wheelchair ramps, accessible restrooms, and elevators. Unfortunately, negative attitudes and stereotypes are still prevalent among healthcare providers about disabled persons, leading to substandard care or even neglect for disabled individuals.
The administration of Step and Cure Residential Home, which caters to mentally and physically disabled children and adults, faces these challenges regularly. Government-run hospitals refuse to accept them as patients, while private hospitals are prohibitively expensive and often fail to provide adequate care even when funds are available.
Dr. Sobia, the founder of Step and Cure, has witnessed the deteriorating health and tragic deaths of many residents due to discriminatory practices. She has appealed to the Sakina Charity Fund to establish a small surgical hospital specifically addressing the healthcare needs of these residents.
This hospital will operate with volunteer surgeons, nurses, and staff, and will also include a hospice care facility to support those facing untreatable life-threatening conditions with dignity.
This hospital will not only accommodate the residents of Step and Cure but will also offer free care to disabled persons outside their facility.
